The aim of Poetry People is to bring poetry to people and people to poetry, often for the first time. Projects reached the wider community through competitions, poem posters, workshops and live events; all primarily aimed at children aged 5–16.

One of the major projects of the community interest company is the annual Suffolk Young Poets Competition. I designed the ‘exclamation’ trophy and drew an illustration to accompany each poem. These were then presented to winning young poets at a live reading in front of their family and friends.
